PRODUCT LAUNCHES / DUBAI, UAE

A launch is judged by what happens after the doors open.

A launch has a sharper job than most events. It introduces something new to the people who matter to it, and it has to leave them with a reason to buy, book, visit or talk about it in the weeks that follow. We start with that outcome and work back to the format: who needs to be there, what they should see first, how the reveal lands and what the audience is asked to do next. Sometimes that is an invited morning for partners and stakeholders. Sometimes it is a public programme that turns an opening into a community moment. Often it is both, on the same day. The format follows from the audience and the outcome, not the other way round, which is why our first conversation is about who should leave the launch doing what.

Our team manages the concept, venue and site planning, guest flow, entertainment, security and launch-day operations, with the stage, LED screens, sound and lighting delivered by our in-house event production team. Launches are often outdoors, promoted or built around a temporary stage, so authority approvals usually sit on the critical path. We coordinate permits and NOCs in the same plan as the build, which keeps the paperwork aligned with what is actually being constructed. Our guide to event permits in Dubai explains which authority applies and how much time to allow before you announce a date. On the day itself, one show caller runs the programme, with security, hosts and technicians all briefed on the same run of show.

If you are working back from a fixed date, our product launch event checklist sets out what to decide from eight weeks out to the week after opening. For a worked example, the Manna Mess restaurant launch shows how a morning inauguration and an evening Tamil cultural roadshow ran as one connected day, with promotion before the opening and content that carried it afterwards. With content production available through the wider Zarak team, a launch can create campaign assets before, during and after the day itself.

One day. Two acts. Demand that outlasted the opening.

For the Manna Mess opening in Dubai, delivered in collaboration with Food On Focus, we ran a morning inauguration for invited guests, stakeholders and the local community, then an evening Tamil cultural roadshow for the public. Permits, stage, LED, sound, lighting, seating, security, entertainment and content were managed by one team. More than 2,000 flyers were distributed before launch, the restaurant sold out for three weeks after opening and the momentum continued for seven weeks.

PRODUCT LAUNCH FAQ

Planning your launch

Product launches.
Common questions.

Which launches do you produce?

We produce product launches, property project launches, restaurant and venue openings, office openings and launch activations, from an invited reveal for partners to a public programme that runs across a full day. The format follows the audience: a reveal for dealers or partners is planned very differently from an opening that has to draw the public in.

Does a product launch in Dubai need an event permit?

Often, yes. A launch that is public, promoted, held outdoors or built around a temporary stage usually needs approval, and the issuing authority depends on where the event takes place. We coordinate the permits, NOCs and supporting documents as part of delivery, alongside the production itself.

How much does a product launch cost in Dubai?

Our calculator gives an indicative planning range of AED 52,500 to 71,000 for a 200-guest product or restaurant launch at the Standard production level, excluding venue, catering and 5% VAT. It is a direction rather than a quote. What an event costs in Dubai explains what moves the number.

Can you create content from the launch?

Yes. Photography, event films and reels can be planned into the launch so the content carries it beyond the people who attended. For Manna Mess, photography and a native event film were designed to extend the launch beyond the venue. We agree the shot list with you before the day, so the reveal, the key guests and the product are all captured.
