Most people asking what an event costs in Dubai are not asking for a quotation yet. They are trying to find out whether the thing they have in mind sits at AED 30,000 or AED 300,000, before they spend a week writing a brief. This page sets out the planning ranges our own calculator uses, how they move, and where they stop and a conversation starts.
Every figure below comes from the budget calculator on our homepage, which is calibrated from approved Zarak Events quotations for 2025 and 2026 projects and adjusted to current rates. They are planning ranges, not quotes. All amounts are in AED and exclude 5% UAE VAT.
The starting ranges by event type
These are what the calculator returns for a single-location event in Dubai of four to eight hours, at the Standard production level, with venue and catering kept separate. Guest counts are the ones most often entered for each type.
| Event type | Example | Planning range | How firm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Corporate event | 150 guests | AED 31,000 to 37,500 | Quote-calibrated |
| Gala dinner or awards night | 200 guests | AED 45,000 to 58,500 | Commercial minimum, then scope review |
| Product or restaurant launch | 200 guests | AED 52,500 to 71,000 | Indicative, scope review required |
| Brand activation | 1,000 footfall | AED 50,000 to 57,500 | Commercial minimum, then scope review |
| Community event | 500 guests | AED 48,000 to 59,000 | Quote-calibrated |
| Conference or exhibition stand | any | No instant range | Custom review |
"Quote-calibrated" means the model has enough approved projects of that type behind it to hold a range within about ten percent. "Commercial minimum" means there is a floor below which we do not take the work on, and the range sits on that floor until the scope says otherwise. "Indicative" means the type is real but the sample is small, so treat the range as a direction, not a line.

What moves the number
Production level
The calculator has four levels: Lean, Standard, Enhanced and Flagship. The same 150-guest corporate event comes out at AED 20,000 to 24,500 at Lean and AED 31,000 to 37,500 at Standard. Take it to 300 guests at Enhanced and the range is AED 54,000 to 66,000; at Flagship, AED 78,000 to 95,000. Production level is the single largest lever, ahead of guest count.
Guest count
Guests scale the range, but not in a straight line. Up to around 100 guests sits slightly below the base; 100 to 250 is the base; the multiplier then steps up at 500, 1,000 and 2,500. For activations the steps are at 250, 1,000, 2,500 and 5,000 footfall, because an activation is sized by passing audience rather than seated guests.
Duration
Up to four hours trims the range by a tenth. A full day adds a tenth. Two days is not double: it is roughly one and a half times, because the build and the crew carry over. Three to four days is a little over double. The 500-guest community event above moves from AED 48,000 to 59,000 for one day to AED 74,500 to 91,000 across two.
Location
Dubai is the base. Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates add between three and eight percent, which is mostly transport, crew time and accommodation where needed. Each additional event location adds about twelve percent, so a roadshow across three venues is not three events but it is not one either.
Venue and catering
By default the ranges exclude venue hire and food, because the client often holds those contracts directly. When the calculator is asked to include them, it adds a venue allowance of AED 8,000 at Lean rising to AED 40,000 at Flagship, and catering at AED 95 to AED 320 per guest depending on the level, with a minimum catering line. Including both takes the 150-guest Standard corporate event from AED 31,000 to 37,500 to AED 61,500 to 75,500. If you only read one line on this page, read that one: whether venue and catering are in or out explains most of the gap between two quotes for the same event.

Why there is no instant range for exhibition stands
The calculator refuses to give a figure for an exhibition stand or a conference, and that is deliberate. A stand is a design and build project before it is an event: the price depends on the plot size and position, whether it is a shell scheme or a space-only plot, how much is custom fabrication against reusable system, the graphics, the lighting and screens, and the show's own rules for height, rigging, power and build days. Two stands on the same six-by-six plot can legitimately differ by a factor of three. Any instant number would be wrong in one direction or the other, so we ask for a short design review instead. The decisions that fix the price are set out in ten decisions to make before exhibition stand design starts.
How to use these ranges
Use them to decide what kind of event you are planning before you brief anyone. If your working budget sits below the Lean range for the type and size you have in mind, the honest answer is a smaller event, not a cheaper version of the same one. If it sits above Enhanced, you have room to spend on the guest experience, the content, or the things people remember, and the brief should say which. Then write the brief so that three suppliers quote the same event, and ask the venue the questions that move the production cost before you sign for it.
The ranges are a starting point. The corporate event management, event production, brand activation and exhibition stand pages describe what each scope includes, and the calculator on the homepage will give you the range for your own numbers in about a minute.
